We paid a pretty reasonable price for this beaitiful hotel. Facilities are new and clean. The spa is small but very nice , they only take 6 people per time. The hotel is not in the seafront as I thought but it has its own sun loungers/bar services at the rethymno beach which is one small block away. We had half board booking and the breakfast buffet was very good with great variety of food. Dinner buffet was okay, not the best food we've had in hotel buffets but also not terrible. I believe it to be fair for the price we paid. The area around is really nice, with restaurants, cafes, shops along the beach and only 10min walk to Rethymno old town. Parking was a bit difficult at times but manageable if you follow the greek rules of parking which is none 😂 Overall, we were very pleased with the hotel and its services. They even offered some entertainment at the bar area during the weekend. It was just a shame that the pool was not heated enough for kids to be able to swim more comfortably/often. (We went during Easter).

Hotel molto bello, stanze ampie e pulite. Si trova 2 min a piedi dalla spiaggia convenzionata e a 10’min a piedi dal centro. Ottima posizione. Non ha parcheggio privato, bisogna trovarlo sulla strada oppure posteggiare al parcheggio pubblico al porto

The hotel is in a really nice area of Rethymno. The room was spacious and comfortable. Only downside was the breakfast, wasn’t what you’d expect at a 4star hotel.

Rethymno is a city of approximately 40,000 people in Greece, the capital of Rethymno regional unit on the island of Crete, a former Latin Catholic bishopric as Retimo(–Ario) and former Latin titular see. Rethymno was originally built during the Minoan civilization (ancient Rhithymna and Arsinoe). The city was prominent enough to mint its own coins and maintain urban growth. One of these coins is today depicted as the crest of the town: two dolphins in a circle. This region as a whole is rich with ancient history, most notably through the Minoan civilisation centred at Knossos east of Rethymno.Rethymno itself began a period of growth when the Venetian conquerors of the island decided to put an intermediate commercial station between Heraklion and Chania, acquiring its own bishop and nobility in the process. Today's old town (palia poli) was almost entirely built by the Republic of Venice. It is one of the best-preserved old towns in Crete. From circa 1250 the city was the seat of the Latin Diocese of Retimo, which was renamed Retimo–Ario after the absorption in 1551 of the Diocese of Ario and as suppressed only after the Turkish conquest.
